China lysine producer stand firm despite sluggish demand
Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending April 10.
Despite slack demand, producers of lysine were reluctant to lower prices which were more than 20% below April 2012a€?s levels.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine remained in the range of RMB11.80-12.50/kg.
With renminbi on the rise again of late, export demand for China-produced lysine is unlikely to firm up in the near term. Lysine market is therefore expected to stay weak with domestic buyers staying cautious as well.
